Meet Speakeasy's Julie and Marc - our members of the month in November!

Introduction round: Who are you and where are you from?
Hi, we are team ‘Speakeasy’. To summarise it to one location we have in common: the world. Longer version: We are lucky to be able to exhaust Berlin with all it’s diversity and different cultures. Currently our team with a total size of eight people is coming from Argentina, Italy, Denmark, Czech Republic, Ireland, Brazil and Germany. In Office Club Berlin you will currently find Julie & Marc.

What made you come to Berlin?
Every ship needs its harbor. Berlin is known to be one of Europe’s most promising startup hubs. Not only the spirit and mindset of people here is different than what you find in many other cities, but also the diversity and talents from all over the earth can be found in Berlin. There is no such thing as a ‘boring’ day in Berlin and we wanted to be part of this adventurous Entrepreneurial movement in Europe.

What exactly do you do? What’s in the pipeline for the near future?
We are the ‘creators’ of the night. With our European show concept Party like Gatsby our mission is to create a unique and memorable experience combining party and show. A fun and immersive experience for groups and friends in 1922 - combining world class circus, cabaret, vaudeville and party.

On an average we have around 1.000 - 1.200 guests on our events. In case you are reading this and ask yourself: “Ehm, so what are you doing?” Our teaser video should explain that better ;)

Since when do you cowork at Office Club Berlin Prenzlauer Berg?
We have been working here for two months.

What is the benefit of using a coworking space for you?
Good coffee and company. :) We like the atmosphere and the community feeling within the Office Club.

Which questions / problems could you help your coworking neighbour with?
I would say any questions regarding live-events we can answer or know where to find the answer. As we have brought our event to 14 different countries we also have quite reasonable experience in Online Marketing. Especially Facebook and Google AdWords.

Do you have favorite spots in Berlin? Something to recommend / consider especially for people coming here?
One of our favorite spots to eat is a small french place called “Sucre et Sel”. You find it close to Rosenthaler Platz. We love coffee and therefore a must taste is Cafe Kraft. Small place with character. In case you haven’t tried any escape rooms yet, Berlin has some great ones! Great for team building and an hour of fun. Recommendations upon request!
