Meet Björn - our member of the month in September!
Introduction round: Who are you and where are you from?
Hi, I am Björn, the founder of The Story Maker. A unique consultancy which offers one-stop-shopping around brand entertainment and content-marketing. We have a strong focus on creating partnerships between movies, brands and media. I grew up in the north of Germany in a town called Hannover. Jan Delay called it the most bored city in Germany. Its not so bad. Actually its quiet green. Some IT folks may now it from the Cebit.
What made you come to Berlin?
Well, I got a taste of the Berlin over 10 years ago. And I loved it. So, I came back in summer of 2006 during the football world cup. To start my first job after film school. Since then I enjoy living here. It took me a lot of commuting the last 7 years to still live here. Buts its worth it.
What exactly do you do? What's in the pipeline for the near future?
I just launched The Story Maker. Very exciting. After 15 years of work experience to go on your own. Luckily I am quiet busy at the moment. Preparing a very innovative branded entertainment campaign including the media channels cinema, out of home, print, online and an app.
Since when do you cowork at Office Club?
For 3 weeks now. In the beginning I thought the best thing to do is working from home. But after 2 weeks I missed something. So, I came here.
What is the benefit of using a coworking space for you?
Its an working environment. You are sorrounded by people with very different backgrounds and skills. Also very different life and business models. Very interesting. And its looks like everybody is getting things done. I like that.
Which questions / problems could you help your coworking neighbour with?
I know how to structure and package branded content projects. I also have an deep insight of the movie industry. So, come on in to find out!
Do you have favourite spots in Berlin? Something to recommend / consider especially for people coming here?
