Meet Kurt - our member of the month in April!

Introduction round: Who are you and where are you from?
My name is Kurt and I was born in Dresden, a city by the Elbe river in the east of Germany. However I grew up in the small town of Weimar which is very famous for the grilled sausages "Thüringer Bratwurst".

What made you come to Berlin?
I originally came to Berlin in order to study communications management and today I can not imagine to live somewhere else (at least permanently). Berlin has a really unique vibe and so many people chase their dreams in a relaxed and individualistic way - I can relate to that a lot...

What exactly do you do? What's in the pipeline for the near future?
I’m a self employed audio producer and run an online audio production company named kurt creative. My main job is to edit and master podcast recordings and now and then I also record voice overs for commercials. My focus this year is to expand my Youtube channel with some cool new tutorials - some of which are recorded at Office Club by the way ;)

Since when do you cowork at Office Club Berlin Prenzlauer Berg?
I have joined Office Club in January this year and usually work here two days a week, mostly when I do office tasks (the clue is in the name!) and marketing related things. Sometimes I also meet my clients here.

What is the benefit of using a coworking space for you?
As someone who worked in a regular office before, firstly the practical side: No need to clean the floor, bring out trash or make coffee by myself anymore! Also it gives me a big creativity boost. In a coworking space I have the feeling of working together with others in a cool company office while still doing my own business and being independent. I really like that combination.

Which questions / problems could you help your coworking neighbour with?
Whenever you see me (and I don't have headphones on) feel free to chat me up if you want some tips about starting or running an online business - I'd also love to hear from your own experience. Plus, if you think about starting a podcast channel then I can give you some advice (and funny stories too, haha).

Do you have favourite spots in Berlin? Something to recommend / consider especially for people coming here?
My favourite place in Berlin is not far away from Office Club: Mauerpark! Especially when the sun is out it's a perfect place to relax, have some coffee and Zimtschnecken or for a sunday walk around the flee market.
