Meet Fabio - our member of the month in October!

Introduction round: Who are you and where are you from?
Hey everybody! My name is Fabio da Costa Horta and I’m 31 years old. I was born in Gelsenkirchen, then moved to Düsseldorf and am now living in Berlin.

What made you come to Berlin?
That’s very simple: My Girlfriend wanted to move to Berlin and of course I joined her.

What exactly do you do? What's in the pipeline for the near future?
I’m a frontend developer working for BUTTER. GmbH for 8 years now and hopefully always will, cause it's the best Team ever and fun to work with them, although we are some kilometers apart.

BUTTER. is a Creative Agency based in Düsseldorf for almost 25 years with roundabout 80 employees. We support a lot of different clients like KFC, Krombacher’s Fassbrause, Vitamalz etc. and of course we have got some cool projects in the pipeline for the near future, but still a secret.

Since when do you cowork at Office Club Berlin Prenzlauer Berg?
I started two month ago in August 2019.

What is the benefit of using a coworking space for you?
At the beginning I started with home office but it was horrible for me to not separate my private life from work life. So I tried to work like a young hipster blogger out of some cool coffee shops around town, which was also horrible because I was used to having a big work station and not only a single Macbook.

Now in the coworking space I have my daily routine and my work station back, can work much more efficiently and connect with new people.

Which questions / problems could you help your coworking neighbour with?
Since I'm a frontend developer i can help with the nerdy stuff ;)
But I got some more hobbies like leatherworking, building furniture and many more things which need skilled craftsmanship.

Do you have favourite spots in Berlin? Something to recommend / consider especially for people coming here?
I'm still discovering Berlin since I moved here only 4 month ago.

Personally I don’t like overcrowded tourist places, so I try to avoid them. But if you are willing to drift away, the whole city is a crazy spot.
