1. What are the most important cornerstones of your professional career?

I worked in human resources for many years in a large corporation. My job was to advise and coach employees and managers and also to design and conduct seminars. Then, almost 14 years ago, I decided to become self-employed and provide my knowledge and experience to companies and organisations from an external perspective.

Today I coach people from a wide variety of contexts, in individual or group settings. The aim is always to expand the personal repertoire of actions in the professional context. This is also the goal of my training programmes and seminars in a somewhat broader sense. In addition to imparting knowledge, for example for motivating leadership behaviour, it is always a matter of harmonising yourself with your professional role in such a way that personal satisfaction and maximum effectiveness arise at the level of action.

2. What was your most courageous professional decision?

That was certainly the decision to go from a secure employee status to self-employment. Self-employment has always been a wish of mine and I am very happy to have taken this step.

3. What made you become a member of the Office Club?

Several factors convinced me: The price-service ratio and the very good transport connections, just like the location of the site. The possibilities to use different services flexibly also appealed to me directly. And last but not least, I would like to mention the competent and very friendly staff at the Office Club, who are always helpful and flexible. A big thank you here at this point.

4. Which Office Club services do you use and how do you benefit from them?

I have had my office at the Office Club in Nuremberg for more than three years and, in addition to the catering, I also use the Office Club's meeting and seminar rooms. This makes my everyday life easier, especially because I can also use the services of the Office Club at short notice. I appreciate this flexibility very much.

5. Keyword professional development: What was the most important professional lesson for you?

An important lesson was not to give up, even if the situation seems very dicey or hopeless at the moment. Keeping going, finding new solutions and believing in yourself are important qualities in self-employment, as are remaining curious and always wanting to learn more.

6. What encounter has shaped you the most in your professional career?

I have had many encounters that have inspired me and made me think, that have also been an enrichment for me personally. I have been able to support many people in their professional and personal development and help them in achieving their goals, and I have always learned something new in the process. One thing above all: There is never just one solution to a problem or situation. There are also no generally valid formulas for success. It is a matter of finding out what suits the situation and then doing it.

7. How do you relax after a long day at work?

I do this best when I go outside into nature: in my garden – whatever the season of the year.

8. Which of your qualities do you think are crucial for professional success?

Healthy optimism, goal orientation, empathy and clarity.
