Meet Tanja - our member of the month in June!

Introduction round: Who are you and where are you from?
Hi, I’m Tanja, 35 years old and I’m from Berlin. I also lived in Bremen, Hamburg and New Zealand.

What made you come to Berlin?
I was born and raised here. It is awesome being back in my home town, living with my partner and being close to family and friends. Also professionally Berlin has so much to offer like helpful programs for supporting start-ups and freelancers.

What exactly do you do? What's in the pipeline for the near future?
I am a freelance writer and PR consultant and mostly focus on PR for products: Social Media, Influencer Marketing, classic PR, content for websites etc..
Regarding my pipeline: I just got my degree in dance and movement (in German: "Tanz- und Bewegungspädagogin"). One of my future goals is to work with children or older people and teaching them to dance. This could be part of a therapy, a contribution to international understanding or support medical prevention.
Last but not least I’ve been working on my own fashion brand which has also to do with dancing.

Since when do you cowork at Office Club Berlin Prenzlauer Berg?
Probably more than a year.

What is the benefit of using a coworking space for you?
At the moment our apartment is too small to integrate a bigger working space. Also I like the atmosphere in coworking spaces. Everyone is very concentrated and focused. It makes me work more efficiently than at home. The good coffee is a plus as well.

Which questions / problems could you help your coworking neighbour with?
I could teach my neighbour to dance Salsa :) and support in PR matters, product launches, content for Social Media, blogs, websites.

Do you have favourite spots in Berlin? Something to recommend / consider especially for people coming here?
Most of my fav spots have to do with dancing. As I dance three times a week one of my fav spots is the Centre Of Dance at Kulturbrauerei and Soda on Thursdays and Sundays. Also I love the Monbijou park with the dancing nights next to the Spree. As most of my friends live in Schöneberg I recommend the Rüdesheimer Platz. You should go there now as the traditional "Weinfest" is on at the moment. That’s a very popular summer event.

Thanks a lot and all the best!
