Meet Fridrik - our member of the month in December!

Introduction round: Who are you and where are you from?
My name is Friðrik and I come from Reykjavik, Iceland. I have one daughter and one granddaughter, which live in Reykjavik.

What made you come to Berlin?
All my life I have lived in Iceland. I wanted to broaden my Horizon, and live in a big city. I had visited Berlin a few times before, and liked it more and more, and now it is perfect of course :-)
The plan is to learn the German language, but that goes slower than I hoped.

What exactly do you do? What's in the pipeline for the near future?
I make (Video edits, graphics, audio mixing)  tv- trailers, promos, for a television broadcasting company in Iceland. I am also a musician (drummer) and write music as well. Hopefully I will release some of my music in the near future.

Since when do you cowork at Office Club Berlin Prenzlauer Berg?
I have been here almost two months (everyday), and like it very much.

What is the benefit of using a coworking space for you?
I need to have people around to function at work. The other option to be at home does not work for me, I have tried that. The friendly staff at OC and the coffee, makes it a perfect place to be.

Which questions / problems could you help your coworking neighbour with?
I can help with (almost) everything that has to do with Video/Audio, and if anybody needs a good beat, I am the man to go to :-)

Do you have favourite spots in Berlin? Something to recommend / consider especially for people coming here?
I have been here for just a short time, I don't have a favourite yet. I have mainly been to Jazz & Blues clubs, A-train, Quasimodo, Rickenbackers Music Inn. I like Asian food, Transit and Van Ahn's. What I have learned for the last two months is that, where there is beer, that is a good spot.
